Event Description
Children's exhibition- The school children of Ledegem have been using the Internet to research information about the soldiers who died during the liberation of Ledegem. This event was a display of what information they discovered.
12 October 2008
Special Guests include H.M. British Ambassador and the First Secretary to the Ambassador of Ireland to the King of the Belgians. The Belgian Federal Minister of Defence, The Governor of West Flanders,
- Arrival of the of Leinsters and Worcesters!
- March into the town to be received by the Burgemeester.
- Service of Remembrance
A service of remembrance led by Father Marc Messiaenm St Pieter's Church, Ledegem and The Reverend Canon Ray Jones Chaplain to St. George's Memorial Church, Ypres. - Commemoration parade
- The Prince of Wales's Leinster Regiment Association.

- Representatives of the Worcester and Sherwood Foresters Regiment Association.

The Burgemeester of Ledegem unveiled a new memorial to those who liberated the town on the 14 October 1918. - Continuation of the parade
- Commemoration Reception
Hosted by the Burgemeester and Eldermen of Ledegem and held in the courtyard of the De Cycloon Restaurant. - Commemoration lunch
Hosted by the Burgemeester and Eldermen of Ledegem with special guests and visitors with tickets - Commemoration Concert
A special concert of music and pictures. A "Sound & Light Festival" Guest appearance by Irish Folk Band "Morna". Displays of unique photographs taken during WW1 of Ledegem and the surrounding area. There will be a "pay bar" at this event and an opportunity for every one to take away a memento of the day.
